Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun Review
The Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun is one of many soft tissue massaging devices on the market. However, what makes this one different is that creators of this massage gun, Bob Schrupp and Brad Heineck, are two Minnesota based Physical Therapists. Popular through their YouTube channel with over 4.5 million subscribers, I was happy to test out this new product.
Background
Bob and Brad provided me this massage gun to test out over the span of 6-8 weeks. I used a variety of attachments on various parts of my body, but mainly focusing on my legs. My typical workouts consist of trail and road running, snowboarding and hiking.

Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun Pros
- The biggest pro on this gun is the price point. Well under half of the top of the line competitors and when on sale, one of the most affordable on the market.
- The variety of massage heads are fantastic. A lot of these you see with other guns, but one of my favorites is the fork looking head which is fantastic for targeting the achilles and IT bands which are some of my most problematic spots.
- The noise level on the Bob and Brad C2 Massage gun is very quiet and does not disturb others in the room when listening to music, watching TV etc.
- The massage gun is small enough and light enough to easily fit in a backpack or suitcase to bring with you when traveling. At only 1.5 lbs, it’s easy to transport wherever you need to bring it.
- The battery life is good enough to last you for a short trip, long weekend or really any general use you may have over the span of a few days for one person. Once you start using this massage gun on multiple people, its battery will likely need to be recharged. The gun also charges in a relatively short time frame and requires no clunky chargers to give it some more juice.
Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun Cons
- Although the power output is likely good enough for most people, it does lack some of the power that the middle of the line Theragun offers. For someone who is looking for a deeper massage and the most amount of pressure into their muscles possible, the Bob and Brad C2 Massage gun may fall a little short. However, this really does come down to personal preference.
- Unlike some other top of the line models, including some from their own product inventory, the C2 Massage gun does not have a rotating head. This can mean some of those tougher spots to reach may require a second party to help you hit.
- This does not fall within a con per say – but I can’t speak to the longevity of this massage gun as I have only had it for a few months. While the motor failing does not concern me, what battery life looks like after a year of constant use may.
Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun Summary
Overall, for the price point and the quality of the massage gun, you really can’t go wrong with the Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun. I would argue that for almost 75% of athletes, this massage gun will be perfect. Since the price point is so low, especially when on sale, if you feel the need to upgrade or don’t end up using this tool as much as you thought, it really puts no dent in your sporting good budget. I feel what differentiates this gun from some others on the market is the combination of the unique heads, power, battery life and price. Whether you are looking for your first massage gun or another one for your recovery needs, I would highly recommend the Bob and Brad C2 Massage Gun.
